Review on the bond behavior and durability of FRP bars to concrete

In the past two decades, use of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) bars in reinforced concrete structures has been increasing, replacing conventional steel reinforcement, especially areas with adverse environmental conditions. This paper presents a literature review on bond behavior FRP to concrete, which includes studies their (i) instantaneous and (ii) long-term (durability) properties. work also included database created from collection experimental data existing literature, results total 1002 pullout tests, intended clarify most relevant parameters that influence bar concrete. The analysis conducted yielded conclusion exhibits good performance as reinforcement structures. Moreover, collected allowed development predictions considering type exposure environment.
